We visited Cabo de Gata for a hiking route through the Natural Park looking for the best place for our workshop: recreating scenes of the Quixote in a natural environment. We enjoyed a typical windmill similar to those from the book of the Quixote.

In Los Millares, students attended a ceramics workshop and in Serón they could show their bravery like quixotes in sport activities. We also visited Almería walking from Cervantes Theater around the city center to arrive at La Alcazaba for a guided tour.

Our journey in this challenge of the Erasmus Programs began in Cyprus in December 2019 and later, in January 2020, teachers and students of Greece, Cyprus, Spain, Finland and Czech Republic traveled to Finland in order to exchange experiences in the field of education. The pandemic caused mobility to Spain was interrupted, but finally we are having our dreams fulfill offering students from our European partners, the possibility of sharing educational experiences within Spanish social, educational and cultural environment in Dalías.
Spain has been preparing a series of activities that will begin on the 21st until 25th February. Among these activities, there will be workshops, excursions, talks, educational games, cultural visits, presentations and recreations about Cervantes and Don Quixote, the cultural symbols of our meeting.

The Multicultural Museum in Spain opens with a fantastic commemorative exhibition dedicated to the author of Don Quixote. The visitors will have the opportunity to admire together works related to Cervantes from national and international institutions such as the National Library of Spain, the Prado Museum and the British Museum. But the most valuable piece, the first printed edition of Don Quixote, has been stolen. Can you help us get it back?

If you like escape rooms, test your skills in “The case of the missing Quixote”, a breakout game on line created by a group of teachers from IES Ciudad de Dalías for our Erasmus + program. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy and learn more about Cervantes.

Your mission consists of finding the hidden book. During your stay in the museum you have to spot the 7-digit code that will be used to open the safe box where the stolen book is located. In order to achieve this, you should solve different challenges in each room. Good luck!
